GAUSHALA

Dhenuunaam asmi kaamadhuk

I am whatever a COW is!

– Chapter 10, verse 28 Bhagavad Gita voices aloud Yogeshwar Krishna’s divine speech

Tvam maatha sarvadevaana tvam cha yagnasya

Tvam trith sarvathirthanaam namastestu sadanaghe

You are Mother to All Gods, You are the YAGNA

You are the holiest of all pilgrimages, I bow down to you dear Mother

– Skanda Purana reads us how the Sanatana Dharma revered Cow

Vedas establish at several places that Cow is the origin of all 33 million Gods and Goddesses. Further, they add that Cow is a symbol of compassion and Universal Motherhood.  Today it is a scientifically cemented fact that everything from a cow is pure and holy. From its very presence to the milk, urine and dung every  bit is of medicinal value.

It was a Must for disciples of our ancient Rishikuls and Gurukuls to serve COW besides serving their GURU.

Sant Swaminaryan’s Gurukul tradition reflects the roots of Indian Culture and heritage. Our Gurukul has a Gaushala with Gir breed cows from Gujarat.

Carrying the Atman of Sanatana Dharma forward, at Swami Narayan Gurukul, disciples spend their time with cows at GAUSHALA. Students under the sanction of Saints of Gurukul perform their service to GAU Maata. We cherish the fact that our learners here consume the pure milk from the cows the saints and students take care of. Once a day every night before they go to bed, we offer students a glass of our own bred cows’ milk.

The urine and dung from the Gaushala cows finds use in organic farming at the campus. Thus Neelkanth Vidyapeeth’s Gurukul for BOYS takes a bright spot among other institutions of International class at Hyderabad.
