Students of Neelkanth Vidyapeeth International School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in novelty. The conventional celebrations proceeded for 7 days. The students chant in chorus mantras and hymns and later devotional songs adoring Lord Ganesha in the divine presence of Param Pujya Shastri Satyaprakash Dasji Swami. The boys make large sets as chariots for the statue of Lord Ganesha on this day and circumambulate around the serene campus before proceeding to the nearest water tank for the immersion of the idol.
Lord Ganesha was carried aloft in a procession to the cries of ‘Ganapati Baba Mourya’ and drumbeats, by a large group of enthusiastic children dressed in ethnic wear and matching step to song! The seven-day festivities came to an end with students submerging the idol of Lord Ganesha in the village pond.
